Introducing Bethany!

Okay, I'll go first!  My name is Bethany Malmgren and I am a contributor on the Ladies Brunch blog.  I will leave the explanation of the what and how of "Ladies Brunch" to another and just go into the gory details of my life.  I live in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles (that's NE of Downtown).  I live with my husband and little mutt dog.  For the past three years, I've been working at a Button Factory where I design lapel pins.  The picture above was taken of me at work.  Before that, I worked in the film industry.


Like many of the women of Ladies Brunch, I graduated from the University of Texas @ Austin.  I grew up in Schertz, Texas.  I used to be Queen Bee of the Alamo Area Bee Association.  If I believed in reincarnation, I would want to be reincarnated as a Giant Squid.   When I do something spacey and people question me about it, my stock response is, "I live in a giant bucket."

I need to find a new job--an actual "career" as my father says.  I also want to lose 50 lbs., lessen my debt, redecorate my apartment, and have a baby.  All in the next year.  Those are my goals.  What are yours?
